A Housewarming Giveaway Contest Thing
The Semi-Related Introduction
Right now, at this very moment, approximately 123 women around the world are crying out in despair. Well, I’m sure many more than that are crying out in despair for a variety of good reasons, such as childbirth or natural disaster or discovering that the one color and type of foundation that works for them has been discontinued. But these women in particular are tearing their hair out because, thanks to Jeff, when they attempt to view my famous hair bow tutorial, they are now going to be redirected to my new front page. Mwahahahaha!
My hair bow tutorial, published several months ago in a rare fit of domesticity, took on proportions I hadn’t dreamed of, receiving so much love from the Google bots that 85% of my Google hits have consisted of hair bow inquiries ever since. I feel like the Kurt Kobain of mommy and craft bloggers. I never wanted or intended to be a mommy or craft blog, and now that I find myself being thusly pigeonholed by such objective entities as bot programs, I just want to put on a flannel shirt and finger a trigger. Figuratively of course.
So until the Google bots find me again, so long hair bow people!
The Premise
Anyway, now that I’m all moved in over here and have learned my way around the neighborhood, I think it’s time to break the place in with a housewarming party. My motives are not entirely pure, you realize. While I enjoy the fun involved in hosting a giveaway, my main consideration is the fact that I have gone from a page rank of four on my blogspot blog to a zero. I need to rebuild my linky juju from scratch, and I can’t do it alone.
The Prizes
So here’s the dealio. I’ve got three fabulous prizes. One blogger will win a custom designed header by the talented Summer, who is responsible for my own beautimous look. Another will win their choice of a button or signature, also designed by Summer. And a third person, who can be a blogger or just a regular Joe or Josephine (as long as they have some sort of public site on which to post my button) residing in the U.S. or Canada, will win two books in new condition, The Saffron Kitchen and Kingdom. And if Summer wins, she gets some time off from digi-scrapping.

How to win? How indeed.

2. When you have completed #1, come back here and leave a comment saying:

3. For an additional entry, blog about this contest and let me know you have done so (I will check!).
I will choose the winners based on the creativity of the answers and the prominence they’ve given to my button on their blog. Bonus points for additional linkage. If you send a friend to enter who gives me your name, extra points for you too. So basically:

#4 - First i would give you a Gun-Rack, if only to have that moment from “Wayne’s World” where his Ex, Stacey, gives him a gun rack and he says: “…a gun rack?…..what am i gonna do…with a gun rack?? i don’t even own A gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack!…what am i gonna do….with a gun rack?” but then after that, i’d probably give you some pretty smelling candles.

You are the reason I started reading other blogs/started my own and sometimes you make me feel inferior because of the variety of things you write about. I am a one trick pony. Did I grovel sufficantly? 
I would probably not sing anything alone, it wouls have to be a duet with someone who sings way louder than I. Unless of course we have already been drinking for quite awhile, apparently I am quite a riot when drunk.
Housewarming gift: Since you are pregnant and cannot drink, I’d bring you an ice cream sundae or lots of gift cards for ice cream sundaes.
Food to bring, hmmm. Something store bought I am sure.

1. How awesome are you??? I consider you my long-lost twin. We both love to read, we are both about 100 lbs. soaking wet (sans pregnancy) and have the same chicken legs.
2. What food/drink item would I bring? I would bring a nice bottle of red wine from one of the local Virginia wineries to your party.
3. A gift for your home? How about something that is a Danish tradition….a decorated horseshoe that you hang above the front door (on the inside of your house). It it supposed to bring good luck.
4. What song to sing? How about “Let’s get the party started” by Pink.
5. My prize? The two books. Haven’t read either one.
